I am excited to have been invited to perform a live ambient, experimental, electronic piece "Sea Ritual" for photographer Susannah Ray's exhibition "Sea Chapel" at Rise Rockaway in

Far Rockaway, Queens, New York.

Sea Chapel is an art installation by Susannah Ray at RISE Rockaway, made of images from Ray’s series To the Sea, To the Sea, To the Sea. The multi-panel arrangements of abstract ocean views form a meditative space, inspired by the large scale Rothko Chapel in Houston, Texas. Sea Chapel's panels were created using screen captures from Rockaway surf cams, digitally manipulated into abstract arrangements of color: broad bands, gradients, and monochrome washes. Visitors may sit and be immersed in a seascape, have a holy or spiritual moment, an experience of color, or simply a moment's rest in a busy urban neighborhood. Sea Chapel brings the sea to the viewer and the viewer to the sea.
